Reduces the excessive bluishness that frequently occurs in outdoor color photography, especially in open shade under a clear, blue sky. The absorption peak is in the range which corresponds to the film's green spectrum. This means outstanding outdoor shots with superb color balance and clarity under all conditions. Also keeps skin tones free of colored reflections from nearby objects such as the shade of trees

Standard: Mono-coated on both surfaces to reduce reflected light to around 4-5%.

HMC: Hoya Multi-Coated filters have 3 anti-reflected coatings on each surface which reduce reflected light to around 1-2%

Super HMC: Super coated Hoya filters have up to 12 anti-reflective coatings which reduce reflected light to around 0.3%.

Super Pro1: Hoya Super Pro1 series filters feature super slim glass of 1mm in thickness. The Hoya Pro 1 UV and Skylight Filters are only 3mm thick. The front of the filter has front threads allowing you to use additional filters or lens hoods. Filters are Super Multi Coated on both the front and rear glass surfaces

Ultra: Filters in this series use the new ULTRA thin rings which are designed primarily to avoid vignetting problems which occur with wide angle lenses. The ULTRA series filters use rings just 3mm in thickness. HMC Multicoating is applied to both sides of the filters and they are supplied with our push-on lens caps. This means that HOYA ULTRA series filters are the ultimate choice for wide angle lenses - there is no other filter available to exceed the ULTRA specification.
